If you’ve never experienced it then you definitely have to visit the South, starting with Atlanta! The community is lovable, and you’ll certainly cherish the southern hospitality. Atlanta has many activities to offer for those of you who are looking to have fun on a budget. Let's discuss the best fun and free things you need to do in Atlanta, GA.
If you don’t want to purchase any special passes for riding the Sky ride or seeing the laser show, you can pay for the parking and hike up the mountain. At the top, you’ll get to experience all the green in Georgia and the fantastic views of the city (you’ll miss these if you decide to move to the desert).
Piedmont Park has endless opportunities. You can run, walk, rollerblade, play in the playgrounds, have a picnic, take your dog for a walk, and more! It’s one spot that locals enjoy on a nice day. What’s more, quite a few movies have been shot here. You can go there and see if you can recognize any of the scenes.
This remarkable cemetery is an attractive place to visit. It’s also home to some of Atlanta’s most famous deceased people and a popular spot for photographers too.
This is one of Atlanta’s favorite photo/ Instagram / film spots due to the graffiti covering the area. Even if you don’t wish to take photos, it’s a memorable and fun art stroll. Moreover, less than a 10-minute walk away, you can visit the Krog Street Market, a repurposed industrial space complete with eclectic shops and vendors.
Walking along one of the greatest urban spaces in America is something you need to experience, period. There are events held here throughout the year, and it’s a great place to spend the afternoon soaking in the sun. Out of all the free attractions in Atlanta, this one is highly recommended for first-time visitors. Also, if you’ve ever been to the High Line in NYC, you can call this Atlanta’s version of it.
