You're not alone if you are daydreaming about being able to travel full-time, but what's stopping most of us? I'll say it - money. Whether you're bad at saving or don't make enough to save at the moment, it makes it difficult to live your daily life when all you can think about is taking that cooking class in Italy or riding down the canals in Amsterdam. Luckily for you, we've put together 10 ways that you can make money while traveling.

TEFL certification to teach english

1. Teach English

There are teaching job opportunities all around the world if you are a native English speaker. Some you do need certifications like the TEFL, but once you obtain that certification, it never expires.

2. Blogging

You can blog about anything and everything. You can blog about travel, review things, your personal adventure, or anything else you can possibly think of. It's hard at first to just start a blog and make money off of it, but if you work hard enough and write some good content you'll get there.

Hostel

3. Work in a hostel

You can save money by snagging a job at a hostel. Many will exchange a few hours a week of work - cleaning or front desk - in exchange for a bed.

4. Work on a cruise ship or yacht

Being able to get solid work experience while traveling around is a great way to make money while traveling. Plus, you'll get to meet and network with so many different people!

Woman doing freelance work

5. Online freelance work

You can do anything from marketing to legal work to engineering. Using websites like Fiverr or Up Work can help you do online freelance work while you're traveling.

6. Bartending

Check for bars that are connected to hostels. Many bars are able to pay "cash in hand" for travelers who are looking to make some money and stay in one spot for a little while.

Visa

7. Working holiday visas

If you are between the ages of 18-30, countries like Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, France, Australia, and Singapore generally offer these type of visas. This allows you to stay in a country for up to a year and (usually) apply to any type of job you want.

8. Housesitting

Housesitting internationally is a great way to save money and sometimes earn money while on the go. One thing to note is that many times this includes petsitting and therefore one must be an animal lover to be able to do this job. There are many websites where you can find housesitting gigs such as TrustHousesitters, MindMyHouse, and Normador.

Travel photography

9. Photography

Good with a camera? You can always sell your photos that you take while traveling! Sites like SmugMug, Etsy, or even create a Wordpress website are a great source of income with a product you've created yourself.

10. Scuba diving or surfing instructor

Scuba certified? Or looking for a new skill to learn? Become a scuba or surfing instructor! Places like Mexico, Hawaii, Thailand, and more are great places to snag a gig like that.

There are so many ways that you can earn/save money while traveling the world. And you don't have to pick just one either! Maybe one week your bartending in France and the next your taking photos in Istanbul. Whatever your work of choice may be, don't let money stop you from taking a few months to travel the world!
